We're a brand-new family program raising health-tested Bernedoodles on the Black Warrior River. Follow along as we build something worth the wait.
Black Warrior Doodles is just beginning, and we're doing it in the open. Our first chapter is a stud one: once Arnold completes every health and genetic clearance, we'll offer him at stud to a small number of approved, health-tested dams. Our own litters come later, once the time is right. Before any of that, there is patience. We're not in a hurry. We'd rather build a program families and breeders can trust than rush a thing. Until then, this is where we share what we learn.
We're a single-breed program by design. Rather than spread ourselves thin, we've committed to doing one dog exceptionally well.
Calm, devoted, and famously good with children. The Bernedoodle pairs the Bernese's gentle heart with the Poodle's clever, low-shedding coat, the balance of steadiness and smarts that made us fall for the breed.
Every pairing we plan starts with Arnold, our F1B foundation sire. He carries the Bernese build most families picture: boxy, well-bodied, and calm, with the low-shedding coat genetics of the Poodle side.
