The Bernedoodle
Calm, devoted, and famously good with children. The Bernedoodle pairs the Bernese's gentle heart with the Poodle's clever, low-shedding coat.
We're a brand-new family program raising health-tested Bernedoodles and Golden Mountain Doodles on the Black Warrior River. Follow along as we build something worth the wait.
Black Warrior Doodles is just beginning, and we're doing it in the open. Before there are puppies, there is patience: selecting the right foundation dogs, completing every health and genetic clearance, and learning all we can about the breeds we love. We're not in a hurry. We'd rather build a program families can trust than rush a litter. Until then, this is where we share what we learn.

Sunny, social, and endlessly eager to please. The Golden Mountain Doodle brings retriever warmth to the Bernedoodle's steady, easygoing nature.
We're planning a year or two ahead, and we'll share every milestone here. Get in touch anytime. We'd love to know you as the program grows.
Researching pairings, raising our foundation dogs, and publishing honest guides in the Journal as we go.
In progressOur foundation sire completes his clearances and becomes available, the first piece of our breeding program in place.
PlannedFull testing on our prospective dam. We only move forward when every result is exactly what we're looking for.
In evaluationWhen the science says yes, our first puppies arrive, and the families we've gotten to know will be the first we call.
Get in touchHealth is the first decision we make, not the last. Every parent dog will complete a full panel before joining the program, and we'll share the paperwork openly.
Honest, useful guides on choosing, raising, and living with a doodle, written as we build our program.
The honest differences in coat, energy, size, and temperament, plus a simple way to decide which doodle belongs in your home.
